British police have discovered 3.6 tons of cocaine on board a ship in South Hampton, reports Hamburger Morgenpost.
The street value of the cocaine is estimated to be around 90 million euros, equivalent to nearly a billion kronor.
The cocaine was found on board a freighter on its way to Hamburg in Germany, hidden inside banana boxes. After the cocaine was discovered, the container where the banana boxes were stored was taken further to its final destination.
There, the cocaine was seized and six men could be arrested in a major raid by German police, suspected of cocaine smuggling. Four of them have since been detained.
