Coast Guard communicator Valdemar Lindekrantz tells P4 Blekinge that they often encounter both seals and forgotten surfboards out at sea, but not together.
"In my eleven years at the Coast Guard, I have never seen anything like this," he tells the radio station.
According to Lindekrantz, it was the Coast Guard's flight crew who, during a routine patrol, suddenly spotted a windsurfing board floating in the water.
But when they zoomed in on the board, they saw that there was a seal lying there, and that it had taken over the board and was surfing on it instead, he says.
