Cloetta, the leading confectionery company in the Nordic region, has signed an agreement to sell pick-and-mix sweets with DeCicco & Sons, a family-owned grocery chain with 11 stores in the premium segment in New York.

Cloetta already sells Swedish pick-and-mix sweets in New York after opening a Candy King store in the city at the end of last year.

"The pilot project marks another step in Cloetta's ongoing work to meet the growing demand for Swedish pick-and-mix sweets in North America," says Niklas Truedsson, Head of Pick & Mix at Cloetta, according to a press release.

After the announcement of the snack agreement, Cloetta's shares rose just over 8 percent on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
