Marius Borg Høiby has been charged with 40 crimes, including several counts of rape. The prosecutor has requested seven years and seven months in prison.
Høiby has admitted to some lesser charges and his defense has asked that he be convicted only of those charges and receive a maximum sentence of one year and six months in prison.
Høiby has been in custody since the beginning of February and the trial, which lasted seven weeks, ended on March 19.
He has requested to be placed under house arrest with ankle shackles but has been denied.
