A Danish police officer has already moved permanently to Sweden. Now, a decision has been made for a Swedish police officer to start working in Denmark, reports P4 Malmöhus.
We have, together with the Danish police, now made a decision that it will happen and we are very happy about it, says the police's press spokesperson Nils Norling to the channel.
Last week, a Danish police officer moved in with the Malmö police. At the same time, Torben Svarrer, head of Denmark's national unit against special criminality, stated that another Danish police officer will be placed with the police's national operational division in Stockholm.
Danish and Swedish gangs do not work within borders. Therefore, it is important that we from the police side also work together, said Svarrer to TT in connection with the decision.
According to both Svarrer and Norling, the decision for more cross-border work was made even before the latest wave of violence in Denmark broke out. In connection with this, several Swedish citizens have been arrested for attempted murder and an explosion.
