During the 2023 Ryder Cup selection, Keegan Bradley fell short.
But in 2025, the 38-year-old gets the most prestigious assignment of them all.
Bradley becomes the captain of the US team.
The American made his debut in the competition in 2012 after winning the PGA Championship the year before, and quickly became a fan favorite for his winning mentality. Since then, he has been selected to the Ryder Cup team on one more occasion, in 2014. In addition, he has six wins on the PGA Tour.
"My passion and appreciation for the greatest team competition in golf have never been greater. The Ryder Cup is not like anything else in our sport, and this edition will be even more special due to the history of this iconic course," says Bradley.
Next year's competition will be played in the USA, at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York. It is the first time the course will host the competition.
It was previously reported that Tiger Woods was the first choice, but declined.
The captain of Europe is Luke Donald, who received extended confidence after his success in last year's edition, where Europe won 16.5-11.5.
