Too bad at the back, too bad going forward. Now Sweden must rise after the collapse against Iceland (27–35) in the European Handball Championship.

We can't be piss-poor tonight. I'm sure that if we win the two games we have left, we'll get to go to Denmark and play in the European Championship semi-final. We have everything in our own hands, but after a match like this you'll lie awake late and have a lot of thoughts in your head, says Felix Claar, who was also "incredibly disappointed" with his own unusually lackluster performance.

He and everyone else in the Swedish camp agreed that Iceland was clearly the better team in Malmö.

"We're not surprised by what they do, but we go at it all the time. We don't win duels. We don't help each other the way we talked about before," says Claar.

Sweden concludes the intermediate round against Hungary on Tuesday and Switzerland on Wednesday.
