At least 13 people, including children, were killed when two schools in eastern Gaza City were attacked, according to Mahmud Bassal, spokesperson for the civil defense controlled by the terrorist-stamped Hamas. He reports that an additional 30 people were injured.
Hundreds of Palestinians who were forced to flee due to the Gaza war are said to have been in the schools when the attacks were carried out.
Israel's military says it has carried out a "precision attack on terrorists" who were operating in the school area, and accuses them of using the area to "plan and execute terrorist attacks" against the military and Israel.
In another attack, an additional 13 people were killed when an Israeli warplane attacked a group of Palestinians in the Shati refugee camp in western Gaza City, according to Bassal.
Four more deaths are reported from an attack on a house in eastern Gaza City.
Israel's military has not yet commented on the attack on the refugee camp and the house.
