The circus tent in East German Bautzen was filled with spectators, many of them children, who on Saturday followed the Spanish acrobat's every move in the air.
Suddenly, for some reason, the rope that held the acrobat by the hair came loose. The 27-year-old fell helplessly to the floor and died in the circus ring, right in front of shocked children and adults.
The circus is now closed, according to Bild.
We cannot understand what happened, says an employee to the magazine.
