Totally, 889,330 votes were cast, which means that 18.84 percent of those eligible to vote participated in the election. This is a slight increase compared to the 2021 election when 18.39 percent participated.
The Workers' Party – Social Democrats (S) remains the largest nominating group with 71 seats. Politically unaffiliated in the Church of Sweden (POSK) is the second largest with 45 seats. The Centre Party loses eight seats, while The Greens in the Church of Sweden (DGSK) increase from 8 to 19 seats.
From this year's election, a new threshold of at least two percent of the votes applies to get seats in the church assembly. Heaven and Earth (HoJ) crossed the threshold and gets six seats. Alternative for Sweden (AfS) falls below the threshold, according to figures from the Church of Sweden.
