The trailer opens with an image of a cloud-covered sea, while someone says in a voiceover:

"Darkness. Zeus' team crushed to pieces. A kingdom without a king since my lord died. He knew it was an impossible war. And yet, somehow he won it."

Universal is showing the teaser trailer for "The Odyssey" ahead of "Jurassic World rebirth", which has led to it being quickly spread on X via mobile movies in poor quality.

"The Odyssey" is still being filmed, but since the new "Jurassic World" is expected to bring in over 100 million dollars, it is strategic to let Nolan's film be marketed together with it, writes Hollywood reporter.

The film premieres on July 17, 2026, and is based on Homer's epic about Odysseus and his perilous journey home from the Trojan War. The story depicts heroism, loyalty, and cunning, with classic episodes such as the cyclops Polyphemus, the Sirens, and the witch-goddess Circe, and the reunion with Odysseus' Penelope.

Others in the cast include Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Benny Safdie, Charlize Theron, Mia Goth, and Corey Hawkins.
