Schollin receives the award because she "has brought to life a rich diversity of role interpretations with warmth, charisma and artistic precision," the citation reads.
The prize was re-established in 2022 in connection with the premiere edition of the Värnamo Film History Festival. It will be awarded during the festival, which runs from April 16–19, and will feature the world premiere of filmmaker Stig Björkman's new documentary about Schollin.
Previously, Harriet Andersson, Stellan Skarsgård, Pernilla August and Rolf Lassgård have received the award.
