During a hearing at London's Southwark Crown Court on Friday, Chris Brown, 37, pleaded guilty to "affray" - engaging in public brawling or using or threatening unlawful violence.

In exchange for the plea, prosecutors dropped the more serious charges of assault, attempted grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon.

The Grammy-winning singer had previously denied attacking Abraham Diaw with a bottle at the Tape nightclub in the exclusive Mayfair area in February 2023.

The fight was caught on surveillance camera in front of a club full of people, according to prosecutors.

Brown had been released on bail of five million pounds (64.7 million Swedish kronor), which allowed him to tour Europe and North America last summer.

He was released on bail again on Friday and will be sentenced on October 26.
