The American artist was arrested on Thursday morning in Manchester, suspected of having assaulted a music producer in connection with a nightclub visit in London 2023.
The incident occurred in London in February 2023 when Chris Brown was on tour. The artist is said to have hit the producer Abe Diaw with a bottle of Tequila.
The British legal process comes inconveniently for Chris Brown, who is scheduled to embark on a world tour next month with Jhene Aiko, Summer Walker, and Bryson Tiller, with a premiere in Amsterdam on June 8. No Swedish concerts have been announced.
Chris Brown broke through as a teenager with the song "Run it" in 2005. He was sentenced to five years' probation in 2009 for assaulting his then-girlfriend, artist Rihanna.
