In a clip circulating on social media, Mbappé is said to have joked about the late dictator.
This has prompted both energy drink company Dongpeng and dairy producer Mengniu - the largest in their respective sectors - to react angrily.
"Mengniu strongly distances itself from and has zero tolerance for any kind of words or actions that hurt the feelings of the Chinese people," the company writes.
