Stellantis recently announced a partnership with Chinese Leapmotor to manufacture Leapmotor's cars at its factories in Spain. However, BYD would prefer to have full control over the proposed factories rather than share them with other manufacturers, according to Stella Li.
BYD has recently expanded significantly, with rising sales in Europe and elsewhere. The company also reports increased interest in electric cars amid the oil crisis.
