The car group Stellantis, with brands such as Peugeot and Opel, is opening a battery factory in Spain together with the Chinese battery giant Catl.
The investment amounts to 4.1 billion euros, or equivalent to 47 billion kronor. The goal is to start production towards the end of 2026.
According to media reports, Catl has been mentioned as a potential collaboration partner for the crisis-stricken Northvolt.
