Dragon Gate, which is located by the exit to Älvkarleby, has been sold by the Sisyfos Group to Arosslättens Properties.

According to a press release, there are plans to develop the land in various ways and give more actors the opportunity to establish themselves there, for example, gas stations and restaurants.

"The hotel building with its constructions is fascinating and an attraction. However, it requires a number of investments and preparations to be put into use for the general public, which is a partial goal," writes Arosslättens CEO Lars-Gunnar Andersson in a comment.

It was in 2004 that businessman Li Jingchun bought an old hotel on the site, to convert it into "China's window to Sweden". On the premises, there is, among other things, a large building in Chinese style and a large statue depicting a Buddhist saint.

The project has been marked by work environment crimes and delays and has changed owners several times.
