China's Ministry of Commerce refers, among other things, to the US FCC's decision to ban certain Chinese humanoid robots, as well as the US import ban on more than 40 Chinese companies that the US has accused of using forced labour.
"China must take necessary countermeasures in response, including by strengthening export controls on drones and their key components to the United States," a Commerce Department spokesperson said in a statement.
In addition, China is imposing sanctions on six American companies that Beijing believes have supported the imposition of US trade sanctions.
Next month, Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit Donald Trump in the United States.
