The establishment of the organ has been signed by 31 other countries, including Serbia, Pakistan, and Venezuela. Representatives of 20 international organizations, including the UN, participated in the ceremony, according to Hong Kong's public service broadcaster RTHK.
The idea is that the mediation organ, to be called Iomed, will be able to handle conflicts between countries, between countries and citizens of other countries, and between private international parties.
Iomed is intended to be operational by the end of the year or in the beginning of 2026.
