China landslide death toll rises to 41, with more victims feared

Chinese authorities have identified another 30 people who died in the large landslide that occurred in Chongqing in southwestern China less than two weeks ago.

The death toll has now reached 41, and authorities are warning that it will rise further. No signs of life have been seen during the rescue operation among the rubble.

Heavy rainfall in a nearby river is said to be the cause of the landslide in the Chinese mountain town.
