China's leader Xi Jinping and five Central Asian leaders have signed an agreement where they promise each other "eternal" friendship during a summit in Kazakhstan on Tuesday, according to Kazakhstan's president, and the host, Kassym-Jomart Tokajev.
At the same time, Xi called for strengthened cooperation "towards the goal of a community with a shared future" between the different countries, according to the Chinese state news agency Xinhua.
The meeting is attended by the respective leaders of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, China and the host country Kazakhstan.
