After four days behind closed doors, some information has now come out from the communist party's plenum, which ended on Thursday.
Much of this, which is now being conveyed through state media, has been the kind of thing that has been highlighted before the central committee's meeting where a new five-year plan has been intended to be hammered out.
"Efforts must be made to powerfully get consumption going and avoid bottlenecks", it says, among other things, in a statement referred to by the state news agency New China.
The country is simultaneously facing complex changes and rising uncertainty, it writes in the statement without mentioning the trade war with President Donald Trump and the USA. The two parties are expected to meet in South Korea next week.
On the other hand, it emphasizes the importance of strengthening the country's ability in science and technology and becoming independent of the outside world. Here, it has primarily been talked about the production of so-called semiconductors, but also AI development.
Further details can be expected to come out in the coming days, but the full plan is not expected to be presented until March next year.
