A powerful earthquake occurred off the coast of Argentina's southern coast. People in both countries were urged to evacuate and a tsunami warning was issued – and later lifted.
After about an hour, people could start returning home.
So far, no reports of damage have been reported.
The quake had a magnitude of 7.4 and had its epicenter around 220 kilometers from the Argentine city of Ushuaia, according to the US Geological Survey USGS. The quake was followed by several smaller aftershocks.
