Some or some of those who are now being detained or arrested are only eleven years old, according to the Copenhagen police on X. They are said to have come into contact with each other through a closed group on Instagram.
The age of criminal responsibility is 15 years in Denmark, so for the youngest among the suspects, it will not be possible to prosecute, but instead, measures from the social authorities will be taken.
Since March, eleven robberies and four assaults directed against children have been reported, primarily in central Copenhagen. A total of 22 people are suspected of being involved.
