A five-year-old child has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a traffic accident on Tjörn at 3:30 pm on Wednesday.
The police state that the child, for unclear reasons, ended up under a vehicle, and was subsequently airlifted by ambulance helicopter to Östra Hospital in Gothenburg.
It is highly unclear how this happened. We are still on the scene and trying to talk to those involved and any potential witnesses, says the police's press spokesperson Helene Ramsmo.
The incident is classified as reckless driving and causing bodily harm.
No one is suspected of a crime. The vehicle has been seized for technical examination.
