Child hit as police opened fire on car in Helsingborg

Everything indicates that the police officer's actions here were in an emergency situation, prosecutor Anders Jakobsson tells P4 Malmöhus.

The child was injured in the foot, he said. Before that, the police had been hit when a patrol tried to stop the car. After the shots were fired at the car, it drove away from the scene and a car chase began.

The driver was arrested and detained on suspicion of attempted murder. He was later released, but remains suspected of other crimes, Helsingborgs Dagblad has previously reported.
