A newborn baby has been found dead in a residence in a smaller town in the Skellefteå municipality.
There are suspicions that a crime lies behind the death. Two people have been detained on reasonable suspicion, a lower degree of suspicion, for gross negligence leading to another's death.
"We are now working on mapping out the circumstances surrounding the death," says prosecutor Petra Hedberg in a press release.
It was on Monday that the alarm about the incident came.
- The child had already died when the police and others arrived at the scene, says Petra Hedberg to Norran.
The two suspects were taken in for questioning on Tuesday and detained afterwards.
