An eleven-year-old girl was attacked by an off-leash dog in Norrköping. A woman has now been convicted of causing bodily harm - and the girl will receive over 100,000 kronor in damages.

The incident occurred in 2023 when the girl was on her way home from school. She was bitten on the face, hand and hip and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Now, Norrköping District Court has sentenced the dog's owner to a daily fine for causing bodily harm. The court finds that the woman did not adequately supervise her dogs.

In addition, the dog owner must pay the girl 100,600 kronor in damages, which the court justified by the scars the girl received in the attack.

The dog was euthanized shortly after the incident.
