Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson Apologizes for Red Card in Club World Championship

”A new red card. If I'm going to be honest, I'm angry with myself. I work hard every day to help the team and shouldn't put us in such a situation”, writes Jackson on his Instagram account.

Also against Newcastle in Premier League on May 11, Jackson was sent off after an elbow in the face of an opponent.

Against Flamengo in the World Championship for club teams in the USA, the 24-year-old was substituted in in the 64th minute – two minutes after Bruno Henrique equalized for the Brazilian team.

Directly after the substitution, Flamengo took the lead, and in the 68th minute, Jackson was shown the red card after a dirty tackle with the studs forward against Ayrton Lucas.

”I still don't understand how it could happen, but one thing is certain: It was not intentional”, writes Jackson.

Flamengo won in the end with 3–1.
