Estevao suffered a thigh injury in last week's 0-1 loss to Manchester United.
Interim manager Calum McFarlane, who took charge at Chelsea after this week's sacking of Liam Rosenior, gave the grim news about Estevao ahead of the team's FA Cup semi-final against Leeds on Sunday.
"Unfortunately, Estevao will not play for us again this season. He will be out for a while," he said, according to AFP.
McFarlane was asked if the 19-year-old will be ready to play at the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico in June.
"I'm not sure, to be honest. I just know he won't be available to us."
Estevao has scored five goals in 11 international matches for Brazil.
