From the penalty spot, the American scored both 1-1 and 2-1 within five minutes at the start of the second half at the Alfredo di Stéfano Stadium in Madrid.

Both teams had already qualified for the quarterfinals, but Chelsea could secure first place in Group B with the 2-1 win after six wins out of six possible. National team defender Nathalie Björn played the entire match for the London club – goalkeeper Zecira Musovic sat on the bench.

The Swedish coach Elena Sadiku and her Celtic have had a tough Champions League adventure. Away against Dutch Twente, they suffered their sixth consecutive defeat (0-3) and Celtic finished last with zero points and a 1-17 goal difference.

Lyon also delivered a perfect group stage performance. The Frenchwomen beat Wolfsburg 1-0 at home and took 18 out of 18 possible points in Group A. Wolfsburg had already advanced to the quarterfinals as second in the group before the match against Lyon.
