Chelsea won comfortably over Tunisian Espérance Tunis in the World Championship for club teams. The British top club is thereby advancing to the finals – but only as second in group D behind Brazilian Flamengo.

New acquisition Liam Delap scored his first goal in Chelsea jersey in the 3–0 win.

Chelsea dominated greatly and after two goals in added time in the first half – Delap and also Tosin Adarabioyo netted – the match was largely decided.

Tyrique George established the final result in the 97th minute.

Flamengo, who were already clearly through to the eighth finals, win the group after playing 1–1 with Los Angeles FC in a long time goalless match.

Denis Bouanga gave the American team the lead in the 84th minute – LA's only goal in the tournament. But a couple of minutes later, Wallace Yan scored the equalizer.

Chelsea will face Benfica in the first round of the playoffs, while Flamengo meet Bayern München.
