Cheaters Uncovered in Nearly 70 Million Kronor Fraud This Year

So far this year, nearly 70 million kronor regarding recovery claims and prevented payments have been discovered by the Payment Authority.

This is stated by the authority in a press release and notes that this year's forecast, as stated in the budget basis, will now be exceeded with a good margin.

In addition to this, 73 police reports have been made regarding benefit fraud, almost three times as much as the latest figures in June.

"The fact that the number of police reports has increased so much is a sign that we are not only finding careless mistakes but also potential crimes that we are getting to", says Per Eleblad, the Director-General of the Payment Authority in the press release.
