The FBI does not disclose the names of the sports stars, but lists the burglaries, some of which are already known to the public. Among those affected are, for example, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, who is together with pop icon Taylor Swift.
The gang is also said to have broken into the home of the team's quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Some of the seven men were arrested in Ohio in January, suspected of a burglary at the home of NFL club Cincinnati's quarterback Joe Burrow.
In addition to a number of American football players, basketball stars in the NBA clubs Milwaukee and Memphis are also said to have been affected by the burglary gang.
