They threatened a family in their home with a knife and an axe and stole, among other things, 2.5 million kronor in cryptocurrencies, reports Upsala Nya Tidning.
The family was robbed for about an hour and a half by five masked people with a replica gun, an axe and knives. They threatened the family, beat them, tied them with cable ties and taped them with duct tape, district prosecutor Elin Blank told the newspaper.
The four who are now charged with aggravated robbery were arrested shortly after the robbery. A fifth suspect is believed to be abroad.
One of the four defendants was shot when a member of the robbed family tried to defend themselves and fired in self-defense.
