Chappell Roan got her big breakthrough during the year with songs like "Hot to go" and "Good luck, babe". The latter song has almost 1 billion plays on Spotify and the American has become a kind of cultural icon for many during the year with a spectacular stage show and as part of a new queer pop wave.
The album "The rise and fall of a midwest princess" which was released as early as 2023, but has remained high on the charts throughout 2024.
Next year's Way Out West is arranged on 7-9 August and in addition to Chappell Roan, the organizers are also presenting three more clear names on the artist list; Khruangbin, Fontaines DC and Wet Leg.
