Chappell Roan leaves the Wasserman agency after it emerged that founder Casey Wasserman appears in the Epstein files.

In an Instagram post, she writes that she is leaving the agency to "protect her team."

Wasserman has been criticized for emails he sent in 2003 to Jeffrey Epstein's girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a prison sentence for recruiting girls to be abused by Epstein.

Roan does not mention Epstein or Maxwell, but writes that no one should "be expected to defend or overlook actions that are in such profound conflict with our own moral values."

Epstein was investigated in 2005 for sex crimes against a girl and convicted in 2008 of soliciting prostitution. He was arrested again in 2019 and charged with abusing dozens of underage girls from 2002 to 2005.
