The sharp turns in trade and security policy create great uncertainty and put the world's decision-makers to the test, according to Vice Governor of the Central Bank Anna Seim.
She sees a risk that the uncertainty will settle "like a wet blanket over the world economy".
"It makes the economic and inflation development in Sweden unusually difficult to assess. We are vigilant and have preparedness to act if the development requires it", she says in a speech about the economic situation at a conference arranged by Dagens industri in Stockholm, according to a press release from the Central Bank.
