The idea is that such a tax will give companies financial incentives to change and that the money will go towards supporting civil society, among other things.

In addition, the party wants Sweden to be a driving force in the EU for platforms to be obliged to give external actors better insight into how the algorithms work.
C also wants to introduce a 15-year age limit on social media. A similar proposal was presented this summer in a government-appointed inquiry.
