The aim is to reduce mental ill health and the number of people sitting at home. Students leaving school is a "social failure", according to a press release from the party.
"For a future government to receive our support, it needs to invest in the mental health of young people," they write.
The absenteeism teams the Centre Party wants to see should be deployed when a student has 10 percent absence or more. Transferring a student to a school in another municipality may be an option if there is only one school in the home municipality.
Additional Centre Party proposals are to give principals the right to decide on distance learning for students with a lot of absences and to reduce class sizes.
