Influencer Isa Östling, musician Mwuana and the podcast group behind "Tuttosvenskan" will remind friends to use condoms through film and audio clips that can be sent via SMS and social media.
While condom use among young people in Sweden decreased from 58 to 54 percent between 2023 and 2024, the difference between those who wanted to use condoms and those who actually used them increased, according to RFSU.
Becoming reminded in the moment is one of the most important success factors for more people to succeed in using condoms, says Pelle Ullholm, sexual educator at RFSU, in a press release about "Condom caller".
"We also know that the closest group of friends is the best support and by being the one who supports you strengthen your own ability at another time. To also do it with a dash of humor in the midst of all seriousness makes it much easier to reach," says Ullholm.
