The Stockholm Stock Exchange's OMXS index fluctuated around zero for most of the day, awaiting inflation figures from the USA. The November statistics were in line with market expectations and had no significant impact on stock prices.
When trading closed on Wednesday evening, the broad OMXS index stood at minus 0.1 percent. At the bottom was clothing giant H&M, which lost 2.0 percent. During the day, Spanish competitor Inditex, with the clothing chain Zara, reported quarterly figures that did not meet expectations.
In the opposite direction, real estate company SBB rose 6.9 percent. Defense group Saab gained 1.9 percent. Appliance giant Electrolux, which has risen sharply recently, continued upward, plus 1.8 percent.
The leading European stock exchanges rose slightly on Wednesday.
