Households' consumption remains cautious. In February, the retail trade's sales volume increased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous month in calendar-adjusted and seasonally adjusted figures, writes the Statistics Sweden (SCB).

The sales of durable goods increased by 0.2 percent, while the sales of daily goods excluding Systembolaget increased by 0.5 percent.

A positive change is however noted for the home furnishing trade, which after a longer period of weak sales now shows a positive sales volume on an annual basis for the fifth consecutive month. The increase compared to February 2024 was 7 percent, writes SCB.
