Several American media outlets are reporting on the details of the double murder, which is suspected of being carried out by the couple's 32-year-old son Nick Reiner.
USA Today writes that Rob Reiner died first; his marital status is listed as "married" in the certificate, while his wife is stated to be a widow in hers. The times of death have been given as 3:45 and 3:46 p.m. in Los Angeles on December 14.
Although the exact time is uncertain, Rob and Michele Reiner are believed to have both died within minutes of being attacked in their bedroom in the Brentwood neighborhood. There were no signs of forced entry into the home, according to police.
According to the death certificate, the couple's bodies have been cremated, but no date for the funeral has yet been announced.
Nick Reiner was arrested within hours of the murders and is being held in custody until his detention hearing on January 7.
