The artist Ventura mentions, among other things, that she got "bruises all over her body".

He would hit my head, knock me down, pull my hair, kick me, and stomp on my head if I was lying down, she says.

Combs or his employees would sometimes take away her belongings, such as her phone and computer, from her. How long she was denied these things depended on "how long I was punished", she claims.

My car was taken away. I was kicked out of the house, my apartment. I lost my jewelry. It was very random depending on how he felt.

She is one of the key witnesses in the trial against the 55-year-old Combs. Many reports came in after Ventura went public with her accusations against him.

Accused by over 120 people

Combs is accused by over 120 people of, among other things, rape, sexual assault, abuse, extortion, and sex trafficking. According to the indictment, he allegedly assaulted both women and a couple of boys during a period spanning two decades.

Combs introduced "freak-offs" to Ventura during the first year of their relationship, and she says she didn't know how to say no to them.

It got to a point where I felt I didn't have much of a choice, didn't really know what no meant or what no would lead to, she says, describing it as eventually becoming like a job for her.

Denies crimes

Ventura signed a contract with Combs' record label before they became a couple. The decisions went through him even when they were together, and she claims she was given tasks to work on projects that were never released – and that she saw as aiming for "control over what I did every minute".

Ventura says she kept broken computers and phones out of fear that material that could be used for extortion would become public, as she didn't know what was on the devices. She also says she was afraid that video material he had recorded when she had sex would be uploaded to the internet.

Combs has denied the crimes but admitted to being violent during the event that was caught on film in 2016, when he abused Ventura.

If Combs is convicted, he risks life imprisonment.
