CAS will hear the case on October 8, the court wrote on its website on Friday afternoon. The hearing will be held behind closed doors at CAS headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland.

In January, Senegal won the final against Morocco 1-0 after extra time.

But the Confederation of African Football (CAF) decided this spring that Senegal would be stripped of the title and that Morocco would be awarded the victory. CAF said Senegal had forfeited the match when its players left the field at the end of normal time in protest at Morocco being awarded a penalty.

The Senegalese Football Association appealed the decision to CAS, which will now take up the case.

However, the court said no decision will be issued on the same day.
