After the ride, the woman spoke to our staff and complained of neck pain, so we called an ambulance, says Richard Sjödén, CEO of Parken Zoo.

According to Sjödén, the woman was taken to a hospital for examination.

The woman was awake and talkative when she left in the ambulance, he says.

There were previous reports that the woman had hit her head, but according to the CEO, the sequence of events has not been determined.

The alarm about the accident at the new Top Spin carousel came at around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The carousel is now closed pending an investigation. Other parts of the business are open as usual after the accident, which SVT Nyheter Sörmland was first to report.
