However, Swedes Elias Pettersson and Jonathan Lekkerimäki helped Vancouver take on Carolina, with both setting up teammate Jake DeBrusk for his 4–1 goal early in the second period.
Pettersson also set up DeBrusk again for the final goal, making the score 2–7.
