Former track and field stars Carolina and Patrik Klüft are getting divorced, reports Expressen. The couple, who have been married since 2007, have jointly applied for divorce.
"It's a joint decision and we separated already last winter. We are friends and don't feel the need for further comment as it's a private matter", writes Carolina Klüft to Expressen.
Carolina Klüft is one of Sweden's all-time greatest track and field athletes, including among others Olympic gold in heptathlon 2004, three World Championship golds and two European Championship golds.
Patrik Klüft was previously named Kristiansson and is also a former track and field athlete, including among others a World Championship bronze in pole vault 2003.
